Lenten exhibit “Cuaresma” opens in Ali Mall
Araneta City, together with camareros (holy image caretakers) from around Metro Manila, opens an exhibit of religious images in Ali Mall to remind the public this Lenten season of the passion and sacrifice of Christ.
Invitingly titled “Cuaresma”, the exhibit depicts the story of Jesus Christ’s passion, crucifixion, and death. More than sixty (60) religious images and replicas from different parishes around Metro Manila and Rizal are on in the exhibit from March 4 to March 8 at the LGF, Activity Area of Ali Mall.
Notable images on display are vintage holy week images of San Pedro, San Juan, San Pablo, San Mateo, San Judas Tadeo, San Jose de Arimathea, Sta Maria Magdalena, Sta Maria Salome, Santa Maria Jacobe, Sta Veronica, and the Sorrowful Virgin of Dolorosa. These inclusions mirror the religious processions held in cities and provinces nationwide during Good Friday.
“We are bringing to Ali Mall this timely Lenten presentation to bring the Passion of Christ closer to our patrons and nearby communities. May this exhibit remind devotees of the value of hope and faith,” Aileen Ibay, Property Manager of Ali Mall, said.
