President Marcos graces Araneta City for launch of PhilHealth’s enhanced YAKAP initiative
Araneta City had the honor of hosting President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. for the first time on July 25 as he led the official launch of PhilHealth’s enhanced Yaman ng Kalusugan Program (YAKAP).
The President was welcomed by Araneta Group representatives Manuel Araneta "Mar" Roxas, Veana Fores, and other company executives during his visit. He first dropped by Care Center Clinic at Gateway Mall 1, where he greeted patients availing of Konsulta services, before proceeding to Quantum Skyview at Gateway Mall 2 to participate in the launch program.
The event marked the national rollout of the government’s upgraded YAKAP Para Malayo sa Sakit initiative, which delivers a more comprehensive primary care package under PhilHealth’s Konsulta Program. The expanded health benefits now include additional laboratory services, essential medicines, and preventive screenings such as cancer detection—aimed at making quality outpatient healthcare more accessible to all Filipinos.
Located on Level 2 of Gateway Mall 1, Care Center Clinic Gateway is among PhilHealth’s Konsulta-accredited providers. It offers accessible, mall-based medical consultations and services aligned with the expanded YAKAP program for all PhilHealth members.
