FEATR’s “Market Heroes” docu-series premieres with episode on Farmers Market

The Fat Kid Inside, the production house of content creator Erwan Heussaf, featured on June 23 select vendors of Farmers Market on the pilot episode of its latest FEATR YouTube series "Market Heroes".

Among the featured vendors were Elmer Dulce of Elmer-Marie Meat Shop, who sells meat at Farmers Market for over 40 years; Jun Penaflor who owns Penaflor Lumpia Wrapper; Jonna Salonga, owner of Jonna Seafoods for 15 years; Corazon Ortega, owner of Cora-Eleng, who started her business at Farmers Market in 1970. The video follows the stories of these vendors as they prepare for their busy day at the market.

“Market Heroes” is a new FEATR documentary series that delves into the lives of the unsung heroes of the Philippines’ food scene—the hardworking vendors who keep local markets thriving. Farmers Market was chosen as the series’ launchpad for its rich history, vibrant atmosphere, and enduring role as a vital source of fresh ingredients for home cooks, chefs, and restaurateurs for over five decades.

Recognized as the cleanest and best-organized wet market in Metro Manila, Farmers Market is the gold standard for fresh and affordable produce, seafood, meats, and specialty goods. A daily go-to for chefs, home cooks, and foodies, it remains the heart of Araneta City’s culinary heritage.
