For the first time in its long history, the Philippine Obstetrical and Gynecological Society (POGS) is holding its annual convention across multiple venues within Araneta City.

For 2025, the City of Firsts is proud to host POG's latest convention, which also marks the organization's 79th anniversary, with the theme "Riding the Waves of Change: Navigating the Evolving Needs of Women". The event runs from November 9 to 12, 2025.

Several key establishments in Araneta City have been dedicated to the event. The New Frontier Theater and the exhibit halls on Levels 3 and 4 of Gateway Mall 2 host exhibitions and forums, while all 18 cinemas of Gateway Cineplex serve as lecture rooms. Novotel Manila Araneta City and ibis Styles Manila Araneta City accommodate many of the participants throughout the four-day convention. Novotel Manila also host social events at its Monet Ballroom and serve as a spillover venue for plenary sessions and luncheon symposia.

"Having a convention in a mall is not a new thing, but it is a first for POGS," said Dr. Jean Anne B. Toral, POGS Convention Secretary, in a message. "Just imagine POGS members and other attendees populating part of the 35-hectare Araneta City. What POGS will be doing is a revisit to the pioneer of the commercial district concept in Metro Manila. This revisit will be one for the POGS books."

Apart from the usual event venues such as the Smart Araneta Coliseum and mall activity areas, Araneta City expands its MICE offerings by opening other venues such as mall exhibit halls and cinemas for various events.
