Binibining Pilipinas 2020 candidates tours Gateway Gallery Museum
In line with the celebration of the National Arts Month, the candidates of Binibining Pilipinas 2020 paid a visit on February 18, 3pm, at the Gateway Gallery Museum, Gateway Tower.
The girls were given a tour of the museum by curator Mr. Gari Apolonio, who provided the candidates a quick lecture on the exhibited artworks.
The museum visit provided the Binibining Pilipinas candidates a quick blast from the past courtesy of the artworks lined up at the museum's SiningSaysay: Philippine History in Art exhibit.
The exhibit, which features 30 large-scale paintings from pre-historic Philippines to the contemporary period, is a joint project of the Araneta City and the University of the Philippines.
Through the museum tour, Binibining Pilipinas aims to promote art appreciation while teaching history to the candidates.
*The Gateway Gallery, located at the 5th level of the Gateway Tower in Araneta City, is open to the public Mondays to Sundays from 10 AM to 7 PM. Admission is free!
