NHCP launched HistoEx: History to Experience project at Araneta City
The National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) launched its newest and biggest public event for History Month 2024 at the Gateway Mall 2 of Araneta City on August 23.
History to Experience (HistoEx) brought together national and local government offices, nongovernmental organizations, and micro, small and medium enterprises for a gathering and celebration of Philippine history.
The event brought history to reality with the goal of bridging the gap between learning and experiencing the past.
Apart from exhibitors and retailers from across the country, there were also some series of talks, lectures, demonstrations, and performances from historical reenactment groups, cultural performing groups, public historians, and more.
The exposition ran from August 23 to 25 and was made possible with the support of Araneta City, Gateway Mall, and the J. Amado Araneta Foundation Inc.
The NHCP is the national government agency mandated to promote Philippine history through its museums, research, and publications, and to preserve historical heritage through conservation and the marking of historic sites and structures.
