Magic of giving
For this year, all business units under the Araneta Group united together in sharing love and blessings with the community.
Spearheaded by the J. Amado Araneta Foundation (JAAF), the Group organized 'Treats for 40 Years', a special gift-giving activity that coincides with the 4-decade tradition of lighting the symbolic Giant Christmas tree in Araneta City.
"Despite everything that is happening around us now, we still want all people to Believe in the Magic of Christmas. We in the Araneta Group would like to share this wonderful time with some very special people. We have chosen 40 hardworking essential workers in our community who have shown dedication to their service ever since the pandemic began," according to Lorna Fabian, Vice President for Leasing of Araneta City.
Christmas goodies with a total worth of P200,000 were distributed to beneficiaries like frontline personnel, public transportation drivers, and other groups affected by the pandemic.
Magic of entertainment
To officially kick off its Christmas festivities, the City of Firsts held the traditional lighting of its traditional Giant Christmas tree on November 11.
"Christmas is an enchanting season where people celebrate and get together despite the odds. It gives us restored joy and optimism even as we continue to brace the effects of a worldwide pandemic. This is the magic of Christmas, and we want people to be reminded of this through our giant Christmas tree," according to Judy Araneta Roxas, Vice President of the Araneta Group.
Situated at the Times Square Food Park along Times Square Street, this much-awaited event signifies the opening of the holiday public attractions and activities in Araneta City.
