Araneta Group inks contract with iconic Pinoy food stores for Palenque at New Gateway Mall 2

The Araneta Group signed a contract with some of the Philippines' most sought-after chefs and restaurateurs who will showcase their local specialties at Palenque, a new food destination that will celebrate the diversity of Pinoy cuisine at the New Gateway Mall 2.

Present during the contract signing at the New Gateway Mall 2 on October 4 are Chef Nico Bailon of Bale Datung, Miguel Moreno of Palm Grill, Albert Uy of Chicken Fandian, Chef Myke "Tatung" Sarthou of Tindeli, and Araneta City VP for Leasing Lorna Fabian.

"Palenque is Araneta City’s contribution to the celebration of Filipino gastronomy in all its forms. Filipino cuisine has been on an upward trajectory on the global culinary scene. More people around the world are falling in love with the diverse, dynamic, and colorful culinary traditions of the Philippines,” Fabian said.

“This will be a one-stop destination for anyone who wants not only to taste, but also to shop and learn the best of what our country has to offer. We invite every foodie out there to visit Palenque when it opens at the New Gateway Mall 2. This is a gastronomic experience that we’re sure you won’t want to miss," Fabian added.

Palenque (Mexican-Spanish name for "arena") is a Filipino theme-food arena with stalls that will feature iconic regional dishes courtesy of well-known restaurants across the country. It is a one-stop delectable destination that will help bring regional Filipino cuisine closer to diners at the City of Firsts.
