Araneta City opens Bb. Pilipinas 2022 National Costume Photo Exhibit
The Binibining Pilipinas fever continues as the much-awaited national costumes of this year's candidates were revealed through a photo exhibit at the Farmers Plaza.
The exhibit showcases the unique and creative national costumes of the 40 Binibining Pilipinas candidates in 7-feet-tall installations. The photos were shot by Raymond Saldaña and Owen Reyes at Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar in Quezon City, with the girls styled by Patrick Henry Mergano and Macky Combe.
A ceremonial ribbon-cutting was held on July 4 to officially open the exhibit to the public. Present in the ceremony were BPCI Head Gines Enriquez, Araneta City AVP for Marketing Marjorie Go, Saldaña, and Reyes.
Just like in the glam shot photo exhibit, Araneta City will soon power each national costume photo with augmented reality (AR) technology to bring the portraits to life. Exhibit viewers simply need to download the UniteAR app on their smartphones, open the AR camera on the app, and scan the QR code in any of the panels to see the Binibinis in motion as they rock their national costumes.
Araneta City first introduced AR technology in Binibining Pilipinas during the national costume exhibit in 2021. This innovation, along with other digital offerings of the previous Binibini edition, won the Araneta Group its first Anvil Award for PR executions.
The Binibining Pilipinas National Costume Exhibit will be on display at Farmers Plaza until July 15, and will be at Gateway Mall from July 16 until the grand coronation night on July 31.
