The store’s name was coined from the first letter of the founders’ names. JB Music started in 1974 with its very first branch in Araneta City, which was personally managed by Engineer Jesus Songco Fernando and Mrs. Elizabeth Salonga Fernando together with three pioneer staff.
Now, the humble store has grown and currently encompasses 18 branches located in malls nationwide.

Before the pandemic, one can attend their basic lessons and their free group ukulele workshops held every Saturday and Sunday at 2:30 pm. Hopefully, we can bring back these sessions now that restrictions in NCR are easing.
