Manila, Philippines – Araneta City joins the celebration of World Mental Health Day on October 10, 2020 with the campaign #YouMatter.
In partnership with Binibining Pilipinas, the Gateway Gallery and SPARK! Philippines Inc., the City of Firsts has lined up activities that aim to raise awareness on mental health, and sow relief and ease of mind.
The #YouMatter campaign will kick-off on October 9, 2020 with a series of talks. In the morning and afternoon, forums will be held by SPARK! Philippines’ Riyan Portuguez RPsy., co-chairperson of the Physcological Association of the Philippines LGBT Psychology Special Interest Group for Araneta City employees. The forums aim to cultivate a healthy working environment in Araneta City amidst the pandemic.
At 6pm, netizens will be able to join the #YouMatter online forum with Portuguez and Binibining Pilipinas 2020 candidate Patrizia Garcia via Araneta City’s social media pages.
On October 10, Araneta City will be treating shoppers through the 10.10 Deals, Shop to Relieve promo. Participating shops will offer numerous surprises, and delivery fees for purchases made via the Araneta City Assist service will be free anywhere around Metro Manila.
On October 11, Gateway Gallery will launch the #YouMatter Gallery in Your Hands, featuring artworks from artists who suffered and recovered from mental health issues and are now advocating the fight against the stigma on mental health disorders. The featured artworks may be purchased by interested buyers through the Gateway Gallery mobile app.
Self-help quotes will also be aired and posted in Araneta City to encourage hope and instill positivity among mallgoers and patrons.
